Mrs. Amy Salameh 2nd Grade
Hello there! My name is Amy Salameh and I am your new second grade teacher. I am very honored and excited to be teaching at SSIS this year and I look forward to meeting my students and their families this coming year! For me, there is no other career in the world that I would want to do than to teach children. It is my opinion, that teaching is the most rewarding, challenging, and fun job there is!

I make it my goal to get to know the unique and special talents of each and everyone of my students, I will be your child’s biggest cheerleader this year. My classroom environment will enable children to become self confident, independent thinkers. I like to challenge my students and will encourage them to give their very best effort. I have high expectations and my goal is to make sure that everyday is rewarding, fun, and challenging, but most of all to help my students to feel successful about themselves.

My philosophy of teaching is one in which encourages an active environment where children are able to learn not only from me, but also from each other and self discovery, and to feel successful along the way. I believe that the main purpose of education is to provide students with a foundation to help them become life-long learners.
