Mrs. Linda Kneeland
Third Grade Teacher

Education: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
University: Virginia Commonwealth University
Teaching Certification: K-6, 5-9 Integrated Studies, ESOL Endorsed
It is my opinion that there is no more important profession than that of an educator. Here I can truly make a difference, inspire a child, and engage children in a positive manner. I want to lay the foundation so that no matter what they choose to do in their lives, my students will have a solid background in the most important disciplines. I am able to mold the raw material and continue students in the proper direction to a better future. I want to see stronger, more self confident, more determined young people in June than those who entered my classroom in August.
My goal is to instill in each child a desire to learn, achieve, and find success. Many happy children have passed through my doors as they develop a sense of pride in their accomplishments. My favorite reminder to the students is to focus and get serious. When they do, amazing things happen.
I intend to combine stability and cohesion of traditional values and to encourage the freedom to innovate and inspire. This can be done with care and understanding, and it is only possible with the teacher, school leaders, and the parents acting as full partners in each child's education. With shared goals, a firm commitment , and full participation of all these caring individuals, the result is bound to be confident, capable, and independent children. The journey will be exciting and fulfilling. In my classroom the spirit of learning is alive and thriving.
